The Fete National (2003-06-20 - ) I don�t really pray that much, but I�ve been thanking the Lord all day for blessing us with Fridays. If the world were a perfect place, we Montrealers would all have a three-day weekend. Ah, the joys of having three days without having to deal with your co-workers... bliss, wonderful, sweet bliss. BUT NO, the Quebec government decided to make us all come into work on Monday just to have Tuesday off. What�s up with that, someone, please explain this phenomenon to me!!! How many of us were planning on going somewhere nice this weekend, somewhere that required at least three days for travel time and fun time to be at a perfect balance. Two days is just not enough, and on top of that they�re going to do it to us again for Canada Day, which will fall on�get this�another Tuesday!!! I�m so happy(very sarcastic tone). It is tradition that on the 24th you get tanked off your ass for the Fete National, and then recuperate on the 25th. That�s just how it is. You can�t change tradition, tradition changes you! Oh well, I guess I�ll just have to face Wednesday with a hell of a hangover. |
